Vinyasa is style of yoga but you will hear it as a cue during class - and it means to start a 4-pose sequence at a pace that syncs with your breath. The instructor might say "Take a Vinyasa" or "Take your flow."
This is the sequence:
PLANK POSE.
CHATURANGA.
UPWARD-FACING DOG POSE.
DOWNWARD-FACING DOG POSE.
There are days I need to modify (maybe I need my knees down during CHATURANGA) or moments when my flow might go from PLANK straight into DOWNWARD-FACING DOG.
Another modification is to replace UPWARD-FACING DOG with COBRA.
Each day is different!
